SMS Program Disclosure

This page describes the text-messaging (SMS) program for Steven Hyde, dtol.dance; Director of Classical and Contemporary Dance at Orange County School of the Arts. It applies to messages you receive from Steven Hyde at the studio website.

What this program is

Steven Hyde sends text messages to members and interested families who ask for them: lesson and class reminders, booking confirmations, and occasional studio updates. Messages come from our text number +1 (833) 847-3514.

How people opt in

Texting is always express opt-in. Every place we ask for it is a web form at the studio website, filled in by the person who owns the number, with a checkbox that is unchecked by default: setting up a member account, the contact form on our public site, and the text-reminder switch in account settings. Consent is stored with a timestamp, and every sender checks that record before a message goes out, so a number that reaches us any other way is never texted.

The box on the account form reads:

"Text me lesson reminders and studio updates at this number. Message rates may apply, reply STOP anytime."

The box on our public contact form reads:

"Text me about classes and my visit at this number. Message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out anytime."

Consent can be withdrawn at any time in account settings or by replying STOP.

• Message frequency: up to 4 messages per month for a typical member.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help.
• Marketing messages are never sent during nighttime quiet hours.
• We never sell or share phone numbers with third parties for their marketing.
